Where does the data come from?
It's compiled from public records published by Indian government departments and statutory authorities. Company, location, cost, dates and boundaries are taken from those filings as declared — we don't estimate or fill them in.
The sector labels and the stage are ours. We assign them from the filing text, and flag the rows where the evidence is thin so you can filter them out.
Is it one row per project?
One row per live filing. 20,474 of them declare ₹100 crore or more, and the median declared cost is ₹1 crore, so most filings are small. A large project can appear more than once — an original approval and a later expansion. Filter on company and location if you want to group them. We're building project-level grouping into a future release.
How current is it?
Every row carries the date of its own last filing at source, so you can see the age of each one rather than trusting one date for the whole file. Filings in this build run from September 2022 to August 2026. It was compiled in September 2026, and you get the most recent build at the time of purchase.
Do all rows have a boundary?
99 in every 100 carry usable coordinates inside India and 96 in every 100 carry a full site boundary polygon. Where a location is missing or clearly wrong at source we leave it blank rather than guessing, and coordinates that fall outside India are not counted as coordinates.
What counts as live?
Anything still moving through the approval process or already cleared. We hold 1,52,350 records; 48,336 of them are delisted, rejected or withdrawn and are removed before delivery, leaving 1,04,014 live filings.
Does an approved project always get built?
No. Approval means a company has spent real money and months of effort to get permission — a strong signal, not a guarantee. The stage and dates are what the company declared, not what we've seen on the ground.
Does it include personal contact details?
No phone numbers and no email addresses, ever. 50,540 live filings are by companies, PSUs or government bodies and are named in full. 53,474 are by private individuals — mostly small quarry licences — and their names are withheld, because a person is not a sales lead.
Can I use it inside my own product?
Internal use is included. Reselling it or embedding it in something you sell needs a separate licence — ask and we'll send terms.
How do I pay?
